the judgment of a hotel is not how they treat you when everything is going well but how they fix issues when they arise. My parents stayed at The Madison Hotel over the weekend for their first visit to NJ after we relocated. Unfortunately, our house wasn't ready so the hotel was the next best option. Great location and independent feel, there was an issue with their room but after night one, the issue was resolved, the staff was apologetic and helpful and quick to fix... and then followed up several times to make sure all was well. They followed that with some discounting to "buy them a drink" at the great adjoining steakhouse, Rod's, during their stay and it was great. they were so happy with their stay and the staff... Thanks to all!
I have to say that this is probably the best hotel I have ever stayed at! All staff from every facet of The Madison Hotel were friendly! We never saw a disgruntled employee. At check-in it could get very hectic and they never lost their calmness. The reason for our stay was our sons wedding!! Our son and our daughter-in-law picked this hotel because of its charm, uniqueness and overall attention to detail. We were a distance from the wedding venue but so worth it. If you ever stay at The Madison you must eat in the train car. Again another amazing experience at the two restaurants and bars on the premises, impeccable! Not to mention the host, servers and bartenders. Thank Madison for an unforgettable experience.
Having stayed at the Madison many times, and having hosted friends and family for dinners at the restaurants, and having organized large family get-togethers there- Says how much we love the place. Beautiful, comfortable, quiet, convenient. I look forward to the pool and hot tub and drive out of the way to come to a hotel with these. The sunny windows and spaciousness are lovely. While as clean as always, however, the pool was cold! Second time this has happened. This is very important to me, not only for relaxation and a treat, but because I limp and the water helps me feel better. Please take good care of this asset, and we will be back several times a year, and continue to bring family with us. Thank you.
